BREATHEcast- So how and when did your group form?

I got saved in 1999 and the Lord called me to do music for him. I've always been a rapper... Later I recorded a CD called Speak Life and had a release party.
GS's [current member of the group] mom was there, and she was like "You've gotta meet my son! He raps, too-- he's not a Christian rapper, but you've gotta meet him!"

She took one of my CDs and at first he [GS] didn't want to listen to it because it was Christian. One day he was around the house and he heard the music and liked it. He got saved through the CD... later I met him and discipled him without really knowing him. GS and I did an album together called "Struggles and Test." We did the album and toured. 2001, we went back and did another album called "Speak Life" - which talks about our vision in Proverbs 18:21. Later we recorded "Let's Ride," and started touring with the album. Then we came out with the FireProof album.

BREATHEcast- Any recent news?

Yes...after recording Fireproof, Vigilant [member of the group] parted ways with us.

And actually we have some breaking news. Today, we come up with a new name... Living Legendz [Group originally named Fishermen].
This means we're alive through Christ. There are a lot of rappers that are legends, but they are dead. We want to be the living legends.


BREATHEcast- Future plans?

Well, June 26th is the last day of the Fireprooof tour.
June 27th, we're going back to the studio and recording a new album entitled "Rags II Riches." Before we got saved, our spirits were rags. Our lives were headed to the opposite direction of heaven. But when were saved, our lives automatically turned to riches.


BREATHEcast- How do you want to use Hip Hop and Rap to proclaim the gospel?

We want to make good quality music that can be an alternative to big rap groups that sell millions of records. We're gonna be the alternative to them. Through the music, we gotta be very positive and speak life. We are gonna use metaphors that keep it real progressive, but at the same time it's gotta be good quality and we will have messages in our music.


BREATHEcast- Any radical plans?

We signed a deal in UK [Awake Records and Touchdown Distribution] and we'll release our new album there in Feb 06. We'll pre-release it in the USA on August 2005.

We'll be touring in the USA and the UK for our new album.


BREATHEcast- If you were describe yourselves, what would you say? We are...

We are... young men with a vision to reach millions. We speak life through our music, and when we tour, we want to go everywhere we can.
